India’s Polished Diamond Exports Surge in June

In the first quarter of the fiscal year, India exported 8.842 million carats worth $2.887 billion, rising 10.32 percent and 20.12 percent respectively.
Polished diamond imports in June reached 1.521 million carats carrying an import value of $378.21 million, soaring 171.19 percent in volume and 134.5 percent in value.
The high amount of polished diamond imports in June lifted first quarter results. They totaled 2.398 million carats, up 171.19 percent, worth $927.72 million, a doubling in value.
