The trophies were handed over to the winners by the chief guest, Kamal Nath, minister of Commerce & Industry, Government of India and guest of honor, Prem Singh, speaker, Delhi Legislative Assembly on October 5.
Topping the list among the diamond exporters who are DTC Sightholders was K. Girdharlal & Co, with an export turnover of $216.32 million, followed by Kiran Exports with $204.21 million. The other two Sightholder companies that received awards were Sheetal Manufacturing and C Mahendra Exports.
Ranking first among non-sightholder companies was J.B. & Brothers with exports of $170.56 million, followed closely by Hari Krishna Exports with of $151.31 million. Third and fourth in this category were Dharmanandan Diamonds and Shairu Gems.
In the jewelry segment, Goldstar Jewellery topped in the Studded Precious Metal Jewellery Export by Units from EPZ/ EOU category with exports of $124.61 million, while Tara Ultimo, with $120.75 million, was a close second.
Kama Jewellery, which recently formed a joint venture with Leo Schechter Diamonds, was placed second among the Studded Gold Jewellery manufacturers outside of the EPZ/ EOU, with an export of $20.05 million, while Say India Jewellers bagged the first position with exports of $22.16 million.

Awards were also given to leading performers in a number of other categories like Plain Gold Jewellery, Coloured Gemstones, Silver Jewellery and so on.
Two special awards were also announced – an Award for Outstanding Contribution to Gem & Jewelry Industry to Nirupa Bhatt, Marketing Manager of Rio Tinto Diamonds, India; and a Lifetime Achievement Award to Arunkumar R. Mehta, founder and senior director of Rosy Blue and B. Arunkumar Group of Companies.
