Israel’s October Exports $605.54 Million

Israel’s net polished diamond exports in October registered a one percent decline compared to last year, totaling $605.54 million. Israel exported during the month 376,958.29 carats with an average value of $1,606.39 per carat. In volume, this is a 27.8 percent decline.

 

Despite the slight decline in polished exports during the month, exports in the first ten months of the year grew by 6.9 percent to $5.929 billion. In volume, Israeli traders lost 2.5 percent in exports compared to last year, exporting 3.452 million carats.

 

The U.S. continues to be the leading destination of Israeli polished diamond exports, totaling $461.86 million during the month. The following leading export destinations were Belgium ($67.46 million) and Switzerland ($36.11 million).

 

Conversely, polished diamond imports rose sharply in October, totaling $500.1 million, a 32.3 percent increase. Imports rose 10 percent in volume to 382,321 carats.
