Tiffany’s Worldwide Holiday Comparable Store Sales Up 1%

Luxury jewelry retailer Tiffany & Co. saw its worldwide sales for the November 1-December 31 holiday period increase 8 percent over the previous year to $867.26 million. Net sales rose 6 percent, and worldwide comparable store sales grew 1 percent.

International retail sales jumped 18 percent to $334.77 million. Comparable store sales increased 5 percent, and total sales 12 percent, on a constant exchange-rate basis.
The firm also noted that its “other sales” fell 20 percent to $13.48 million during the period, “due to a reduction in wholesale sales of diamonds (which declined $2.9 million).”
