Gitanjali Chairman Awarded for Innovation in Diamond Marketing

Gitanjali Gems Chairman Mehul Choksi was recently honored with the “Innovation in Diamond Marketing” award at the 11th Rajiv Gandhi Awards event in Mumbai. The award, founded by the Bureau of Indian Standards, recognizes leaders of the quality movement in India.

The other awardees included Baba Kalyani, Anna Hazare, Baichung Bhutia, Sunny Varkey, Sameer Gehlaut Vandana Luthra, Malkit Singh, Saif Ali Khan, Lara Dutta and Darsheel Safary.

The Rajiv Gandhi National Award was instituted in 1991 to encourage Indian manufacturing and service organizations to strive for excellence and is intended to generate interest and involvement of Indian Industry in quality programs, drive products and services to higher levels of quality and equip the industry to meet the challenges of the domestic and international markets.
