Baselworld Increases Promotion for Diamond Exhibitors
September 24, 09The Baselworld Watch and Jewellery Show will increase its promotional efforts on behalf of the diamond companies exhibiting at the fair. The decision was made following a request by the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) the diamond organization said in a release Thursday. Baselworld is scheduled for March 18-25, 2010.
Among the services Baselworld pledged to develop are press releases about the importance of the diamond sector at the show; a daily full page special report on diamond exhibitors and the diamond sector in the Baselworld Daily News magazine, printed and distributed to 15,000 readers during the show; mailings of the Baselworld Visitor Brochure to diamond buyers in Europe; inclusion of positive diamond buyer feedback about the show in Baselworld's corporate video 2010; as well as the inclusion and mentioning of the importance of the diamond sector at Baselworld in interviews, speeches and articles that are promoted by the show's management.
WFDB president Avi Paz said he expected that these measures offered by Baselworld would increase the visibility of the diamond exhibitors at the fair and increase the awareness of visitors to the important role diamonds play in this most prestigious trade show.
"We have also asked the show to enable companies to share booth space and to lower the costs in order to allow companies to continue their participation and presence at Baselworld," Paz stated.
