AWDC To Host 12 Antwerp Diamond Companies at Vicenzaoro

The Antwerp World Diamond Centre's (AWDC) announced on Thursday that it will be hosting 12 Antwerp-based diamond companies in its pavilion at the upcoming Vicenzaoro First show.

The Vicenzaoro First fair will be held on January 16-21 in Vicenza, Italy. It is the first major event on the jewelry industry's calendar and a pivotal event in setting trends for designs. The AWDC says that its list of participating diamond companies attending the fair indicates a growing optimism regarding the European market.

"We are very much looking forward to seeing the state of the European market, along with overseas markets, at the Vicenzaoro First show," said AWDC CEO Freddy J. Hanard. "After a difficult year in 2009, we believe there is renewed optimism as the global recovery gains strength and Antwerp diamond firms want to be well-positioned to enjoy rising demand. They will also be able to see the new fashions and trends for the coming year and that provides them with an advantage in being able to make adjustments to the products they offer."
