Gitanjali Awarded IDCA Global Retailer of the Year

The Gitanjali Group has been awarded the Indian Diamond and Color Stone Association (IDCA) Global Retailer of the Year at the JCK show in Las Vegas. The Group has 126 stores in the U.S., 160 in Japan, 45 in China, and 1,300 in India.
“The award is a culmination of the excellence the group has illustrated in its fully vertically integrated retail and branded product business model,” it said in a press release.
According to Gitanjali Chairman Mehul Choksi, “This award not only reflects the commitment of sustained excellence by our group, but recognizes our steadfast efforts in creating a vertically integrated business model that accomplishes its goals of offering a consistent value proposition and integrity from manufacturing to retail sales.”
Chetan Choksi, chairman of Digico Group, the umbrella company of Gitanjali, said consolidated revenue for fiscal 2010 reached $1.8 billion.
