JIC Launches Gems Among Us Contest
September 22, 10(IDEX Online News) - More than 120 Jewelers of America (JA) Retail Members have signed up to be Participating Retailers of the essay contest, Gems Among Us.
Contestants are requested to submit essays recognizing the individuals who make our world a better place at www.JIC.org/gemcontest. The Contest provides a marketing platform to JA Member Retailers in the run-up to Thanksgiving and the holiday shopping period, JIC said.
JIC supplied all Participating Retailers with a comprehensive, turn-key marketing program that includes: counter cards, bag stuffers, logos, email templates, social media and web content, press releases and a sales associate incentive program. Participating Retailers also are receiving national consumer exposure, through listings on www.JIC.org and other partner websites.
Gems Among Us Contest will run through November 22. On November 1, ten essays will be selected as finalists. From November 1-22, the public will be able to vote at www.JIC.org for their favorite essay to determine the grand-prize winner.

The top 10 essay writers will receive gemstone jewelry by Parlé; their “Gems” or nominees, will receive jewelry courtesy of Stuller, and a “The Pocket Heart" from The Loving Heart Collection by Jean Schnaak. The grand-prize essay entrant will win a $5,000 shopping spree at a participating retailer of their choice. The grand-prize essay’s nominee – the “Gem Among Us” – will win a trip for two to Aventura Spa Palace Resort in Riviera Maya,
