Israel Industry Looks to Mumbai for Starting the Year

(IDEX Online News) – The Israeli Diamond Industry is starting the year at the IIJS Signature Show in Mumbai, India, the Israel Diamond Institute announced.

IIJS Signature, to be held January 6 - 9, marks the first major trade show on the diamond calendar and as such is considered an important indicator of how the diamond market will fare during the year.

As in 2011, the IDI is bringing sixteen Israeli companies to exhibit at the show.

The Israel Diamond Pavilion will be located in Hall #5 and will include A S Diamonds, AG Diamond Direct, Avi Paz Group, Eyal Mizrahi, Hausman Diamond Manufacturers, Iris Shirtal Diamonds, Julius Klein – Eliaz Diamonds, Leo Schachter Diamonds, MID Diamonds, Moshe Levy Diamonds, Moti Kashi, Ofer Mizrahi Diamonds, S. Juwal & Co, Sahar Atid, Shlomo Bichachi Diamonds and Vision Diamonds. For some of the companies this is their first time exhibiting in India.

IDI Chairman Moti Ganz said that hopes for the IIJS show were high. “India is a key market for the global diamond industry and for Israel especially."
