The second top seller was an unusual pair of earrings with a main pear shape diamond and a smaller round diamond. One ear pendant has a fancy yellow SI1 pear-shaped diamond, weighing 52.78 carats and a J color, VVS2 round -cut diamond, weighing 6.93 carats.
The other ear pendant has a K color, SI1 clarity pear-shaped diamond weighing 50.31 carats, accompanied by a round-cut fancy yellow VS1 diamond, weighing 7.02 carats. The earrings fetched $4.7 million, close to the lower range of the pre-sale estimates.
A modified oval-cut fancy intense yellow, IF diamond, with excellent polish and excellent symmetry sold for $3.2 million.
A pear-shaped fancy light pink SI1 clarity diamond, weighing 10.52 carats, set in a ring and flanked by two tapered baguette-cut diamonds sold for $2.2 million, double the early estimate.
