GJEPC, DMCC Launching Dubai Gem And Jewelry Show

(IDEX Online News) – India’s Gem & Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC) is teaming up with the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) to host the Global Gem & Jewellery Fair (GGJF) for the first time in Dubai from March 20 to 22.

More than 130 exhibitors will be participating from India and the Gulf states and visitors from Egypt, Lebanon, Bangladesh, Singapore, Eastern Europe, Russia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Pakistan, Malaysia and the Gulf.

Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman, DMCC said: "It is vital to continuously create new opportunities to nurture key international relations with strong trading partners such as India. That is why we are collaborating with the GJEPC to introduce the inaugural Global Gem & Jewellery Fair to the region and the GCC market. We are proud to host this event and to welcome industry participants from across to the globe to Dubai."

Dubai presents itself as a leading global center for the trade of gold, diamonds and precious stones due to its location between Africa and Asia.

GJEPC Vice-Chairman Pankaj Parekh said: “India’s central role as the sourcing centre for diamonds and precious stones jewelry is renowned world-wide. For years traders and visitors to India have enjoyed the craftsmanship, quality, design and cost efficiency – now it’s time we return the gesture and bring the source to Dubai - the most promising destination for the gemstones and jewelry trade in recent times.
