Top Fiera di Vicenza Officials Guests Of Honor At Int'l Diamond Week

(IDEX Online) – Matteo Marzotto, President of the Fiera di Vicenza, and Corrado Facco, the organization's General Manager, will be guests of honor at the September 1-4 International Diamond Week in Israel.

The two leaders will explore how to strengthen ties between the tradeshow organization and the Israeli diamond industry. They will also have the unique opportunity to meet and talk with some of the many hundreds of diamond traders and buyers who will be on the Israel Diamond Exchange (IDE) trading floor, the IDE said in a statement.

Marzotto said he was excited to be visiting the Israel Diamond Exchange and to participate in the Diamond Week's late summer edition. "There are long-time business ties between the Italian jewelry industry and the Israeli diamond business community. I am sure that we will find we have a lot of in common and look forward to discussing how the Fiera and the exchange can join hands and help bring more added value to members of both industries," Marzotto stated.

Facco added: "Fiera di Vicenza is one of the top trade show organizers and we are very interested in strengthening the cooperation with the very best of the diamond industry - also because of the ethical values as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR), authoritatively represented by the Israel Diamond Exchange and the World Federation of Diamond Bourses."

IDE President Shmuel Schnitzer said that as a world leader in jewelry design and branding, the Italian jewelry industry continues to play a pivotal role in the promotion of diamonds and diamond-set jewelry. "Fiera di Vicenza is recognized as one of the chief engines that drives Italian jewelry demand abroad. We're looking forward to discussing how we can merge our qualities and strengths."

As in previous editions of the International Diamond Week, qualified and confirmed buyers will be offered up to four free hotel nights in the designated venue hotels. "We have booked rooms at several hotels close to the Ramat Gan diamond exchange complex," said Moti Besser, the IDE's general manager. "They will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and therefore, we urge interested buyers to register quickly and not to wait."
