Diamondcorp Plans to Hold First Lace Mine Sale in October

(IDEX Online News) – Diamondcorp has announced that it is on schedule to hold its first sale of diamonds from the Lace mine in October. The mine is located in the Free State in South Africa.

In a statement, the company noted that the underground tunnel development at the mine was still moving more slowly than planned due to fractured ground close to old workings. However, it said that the instillation of safety measures for the underground conveyor belt system is expected to be completed this month.

It noted that results for the first half of the year continue to be encouraging with regard to both the size and quality of the diamonds being uncovered as production ramps up.
