Maples-Trump Engagement Ring Sells for $300,000

July 03, 16 by David Brummer

(IDEX Online News) – Estate jewelry auctioneer Joseph DuMouchelle announced it recently sold the 7.45-carat Harry Winston engagement ring that Donald Trump gave to Marla Maples for $300,000, according to a report on Forbes.com.

The emerald-cut diamond ring, with a rectangular, steep cut mounted in platinum with 16 channel-set graduated, straight baguette cut diamonds had a pre-sale estimate of $300,000-$350,000, and the company said that it was “thrilled the ring sold for the estimated price.”

The couple divorced in 1999, and Maples selected Jospeh DuMouchelle to auction the ring, and donated a portion of the $110,000 June 2000 sale price to charity.
