September 17, 17 by Staff Reporter

(IDEX Online) – The 8th Muscat International Jewellery Exhibition will take place from October 24 to 28 at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre in Muscat, the organizers have announced.

The Muscat International Jewellery Exhibition (MIJEX) features a wide range of top-quality jewelry from leading brands and newcomers from many countries, while Oman is seen as a gateway to the gem and jewelry business of neighboring countries, according to a statement.

This edition of the fair will be held at the modern new Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre close to the new Muscat International Airport and leading hotels.

Held under the theme of “Discover the Treasures in Oman”, the fair aims to display spectacular jewels. The show will feature precious gemstones, pearls, gold, and diamonds. In addition, jewelry machinery, materials, tools, equipment and accessories will also be showcased in the exhibition.

The fair space is 4,000 square meters and hosts companies from all over the world, including Oman, Lebanon, India, Italy, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey and the U.A.E. The organizers expect more than 25,000 visitors during the five days of the show.

The gem and jewelry industry in Oman is growing both domestically and internationally, with exports of $250 million in 2015.
