De Beers Reports Big Jump in Output in Q1-Q3

(IDEX Online) – De Beers reported a 46% rise in production on the year for the third quarter at 9.2 million carats.

 

For the first nine months of this year, output was up 29% to 25.3 million carats from 19.6 million carats last year.

 

Ther miner said that "stable trading conditions supported an increase in rough diamond production, driven principally by Debswana, and the ramp-up of Gahcho Kué."
