Alrosa mined yet another large diamond recently, this time a rough piece that has the
distinct shape of a heart shape.
The stone joins a group of other oddly shaped stones. Just in advance of the 2018
World Soccer championship in Russia, the miner found a soccer-ball shaped rough
diamond. And this time around, the timing was once again perfect: the stone’s find was
announced just before Valentine’s Day!
