Natural Diamond Council Launches Celeb Campaign at Emmys
September 16, 20
(IDEX Online) - Rising Hollywood star Ana de Armas is to front the Natural Diamond Council's first celebrity campaign.
The 30-second video will debut during the first-ever virtual Emmy Awards on Sunday (20 September).
The Natural Diamond Council represents the world's biggest diamond miners - Alrosa, De Beers Group, Dominion Diamond Mines, Lucara Diamond, Petra Diamonds, RZM Murowa, and Rio Tinto.
It changed its name from the Diamond Producers Association in June to distance itself from lab-growns, and to promote natural diamonds.
Its promotional video, shot in Portugal, stars the Cuban-Spanish actress Ana de Armas, (pictured) aged 32, who will appear in the forthcoming James Bond movie No Time to Die and who received a Golden Globe nomination for her role in 2019 whodunnit Knives Out.
The NDC's Only Natural Diamonds campaign will be featured in Vogue and Vanity Fair's November 2020 issues, The New York Times, and at online publications ranging from Bustle to Who What Wear.
A selection of the designers and brands featured in the campaign, all of which use diamonds from the Natural Diamond Council's producers, include: Anita Ko, Katkim Fine Jewelry, De Beers Jewellers, Ana Khouri, Delfina Delettrez, Gabriel & Co, Zoe Chicco, Eriness, London Jewelers, Jade Trau, Lorraine Schwartz, Suzanne Kalan, Fernando Jorge, Vanleles, Foundrae, Marla Aaron and Nikos Koulis.
