Honest Rail Road Conductor Returns $107,000 of Engagement Rings

(IDEX Online) - A New York jeweler has been reunited with the 36 engagement rings he left behind on a train.
An honest conductor on the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) found the jewelry - worth $107,000 - and handed it in for police to return to the owner.
Ed Eleasian, a Midtown jeweler, forgot the tray of the rings on a Thursday evening train between Manhattan and Port Washington.
Conductor Jonathan Yellowday found them and went straight to the police department of the Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).
The two men met and hugged the following day when Mr Eleasian arrived to collect his valuables.
Phil Eng, president of LIRR, said "Just think about the happiness of 36 couples down the road that will be joined together in happiness, and they'll have a story to tell."
