Brothers Arrested over Murder of Jeweler at her Store

May 01, 21 by John Jeffay

(IDEX Online) - Two brothers have been arrested over the murder of a jeweler at her store in Indianola, Mississippi, USA.

Jamie Iverson, 67, was shot in the head after two masked men walked into Paul's Jewelry, where she was working alone last Friday morning (23 April).

Daquarius Wright, 20, and Kenterius Wright, 19, both face a single capital murder charge.  They were arrested last Tuesday after a tip, said police, and booked into the Sunflower County Jail, Indianola.

Mrs Iverson  sadly became the first jewelry industry employee killed on the job in 2021, according to Jewelers' Security Alliance.

She and Rodney, her husband of 43 years, ran the store together and worked there side by side for during most of their marriage.
