Cheer Up! Online Backlash Against Miserable Jewelry Models

(IDEX Online) - Indian fashion and jewlery designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee has been ridiculed online over a campaign image featuring six unsmiling women.
The couturier launched his Sabyasachi fine jewelry label in 2017 but this picture (above) and others from his Autumn Winter 2021 collection have not been well received.
The models have been criticised online for looking so miserable. "Smile more" said one Twitter user. Another wrote: "Why are these looking so sad. Not happening."
Other comments include: "All look in mourning", "Smile Often. This is how it changes everything," and "Seriously who wants to look like widows?".
