US Consumers say Cremation Diamonds are "Gross and Weird"

March 27, 22 by

(IDEX Online) - A third of US jewelry buyers say cremation diamonds are "gross and weird".

But just over a fifth (22 per cent) said they'd consider buying one, according to research for Heart In Diamond.

The UK-based company produces lab grown diamonds from the hair or cremated remains of people and pets.

"Turning diamonds into ashes is something of a taboo subject and because of this, few people even know it's possible," said the company in a press release.

"The results from our survey proved this, with just 23 per cent of people being aware of the existence of cremation diamonds."
