Jewelers Honored for Record-Breaking Diamond Ring

August 29, 22 by John Jeffay

(IDEX Online) - An Indian jeweler has received national recognition after landing a Guinness World Record for a ring made with 24,679 natural diamonds.

The Touch of Ami (pictured) took 90 days to make at SWA Diamonds, in Malappuram Inkel Educity, Kerala.

The company has now received a Makers of India award for taking the title Most Diamonds Set in One Ring.

Renani Jewels, based in Meerut, India, previously held the record with the Ring of Prosperity, set with 12,638 individual diamonds.

SWA is owned by Capestone, one of South India's largest manufacturers of gold, diamond, and platinum ornaments.

"It is our privilege and honor that this ring was made in India and also the owner of the ring is an Indian," said Abdul Gafur Anadiyan, the company's managing director.
