Raiders Cut Hole in Ceiling to Steal $400,000 Jewelry

October 30, 22 by John Jeffay

(IDEX Online ) - Raiders broke into a jewelry store in Florida, USA, by cutting a hole in the ceiling.

They stole $400,000 of merchandise, including "irreplaceable items" after gaining access through a neighboring shoe repair store.

They the clambered through the roof space to reach the premises of  Certified Jewelry Design, in Longwood.

"These people are professional, experienced," owner Albert Pagan told the Wesh2 news channel.

"To think that they scaled the building, cut all the way across, cut through the roofs. Crawl through the attic, then cut through a reinforced wall and cut through the vault."

Surveillance TV images (above) show a suspect trying a rear door to the jewelry store, before entering through the roof instead.
