Wrangler Auctions $40,000 Diamond Cowboy Buckle

November 16, 22 by John Jeffay

(IDEX Online) -  Jeans company Wrangler is to auction a $40,000 one-off diamond-encrusted cowboy belt buckle for good causes.

It was created with 75 diamonds - total weight 6.34 carats - to mark its 75th anniversary, together with yellow gold, blue topaz and sterling silver accents.

All proceeds will go to the independent non-profit organizations Western Sports Foundation and Lead Changes.

"Wrangler has drawn inspiration from the code of the west since its inception in 1947, and we couldn't be more excited to honor our roots by working to preserve the culture and heritage of the great American cowboy," said Allen Montgomery, vice president western and workwear - at Wrangler.

The buckle is being auctioned online by WSMAuctioneers.com. Closing date is 30 December.
