(IDEX Online) - The 2024 Spring JA New York Show opens on 10 March, with an "an immersive experience" of the city's 47th Street Diamond District.
"We want to have that feeling here on our show floor that you get when you walk that block between Fifth and Sixth Avenue; that feeling that business is transacting all around you and you want to be a part of that," said Matthew Tratner, group show director.
The three-day event, organized by JA (Jewelers of America) takes place at the Jacob Javits Convention Center.
"In establishing an extension of 47th Street underneath the storied roof of the Javits Center, both attendees and exhibitors of our event can meet and foster relationships with influential decision makers and industry thought leaders that can serve to bolster the strength of their businesses," said Tranter.
Among those attending or sponsoring the event are De Beers, Rio Diamond, Premier Gem Corp, Indian Diamond and Colored Stone Association (IDCA), Diamond Dealers Club (DDC), Diamond Manufactures & Importers Association (DMIA), and Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
Organizers said they were also pleased to welcome trade associations such as Jewelers Vigilance Committee (JVC) and Women's Jewelry Association (WJA), as well as diamond manufacturers Diamex and Shivani Gems.
