New Botswana President to Address AWDC Conference

(IDEX Online) - Botswana's newly-elected president, Duma Boko, will give a keynote speech at the Facets 2024 international diamond conference tomorrow (Tuesday 26 November).
The event is organized by the Antwerp World Diamond Centre (AWDC), takes place at Antwerp Stock Exchange.
Ravi Bhansali, AWDC vice chairman and managing director of Rosy Blue, will give the welcome address.
Al Cook, CEO of De Beers Group, will be interviewed by diamond analyst Edahn Golan. And Angola's Secretary of State for Mineral Resources, Janio Correa Victor, and Antonio Zola, of the country's biggest mining company, Sociedade Mineira de Catoca, will both give keynote speeches.
There will also be panel discussions with participation from Paul Rowley (Executive Vice President, Diamond Trading De Beers Group), Jacky Tache (CEO Tache Group), Peter Kovacs (Head of the Industry, Goods, Energy, Customs and Origin European Commisision), Mmetla Masire (Managing Director, Okavango Diamond Company), David Kellie (CEO Natural Diamond Council), Olya Linde (Partner Bain & Company), Sahag Arslanian (director Arslanian Group), Cormac Kinney (CEO Diamond Standard) and William Lamb (CEO Lucara Diamond).
The conference will focus on re-engaging the international diamond sector for growth, the role of natural diamond marketing, and transparency and reliability as the foundation for Antwerp's future as a global leader in diamond trading.
