IDEX Price Report for 1 June: Rounds Mixed, Fancies Down

(IDEX Online) - May was another month of mixed fortunes, with market uncertainty and caution persisting. Among 3.00-cts to 5.99-cts rounds there was plenty of price movement, in both directions. Fancies saw losses outweigh gains. 

Rounds

There was very little activity in either direction in goods under 3.00-cts. Among 3.00-cts to 5.99-cts there were swathes of price gains among D to F colors, together with large clusters of losses, mostly among I to N. We saw an even mix of increases and decreases in G+ and VS1+ goods in 1.00-cts to 1.24-cts.

Fancies

Prices drops dominated among fancy cuts, although there were some clusters of gains, mostly in goods over 1.25-cts. Among 0.70-cts to 0.89-cts there was a concentration of decreases in H+ and SI1+.
