IDEX Price Report for 1 July: Rounds Down with Some Gains, Mixed Fancy Result

(IDEX Online) - The overall trend remained downwards during June. It was more marked among rounds, although the losses were balanced by some gains in larger goods.

Rounds

Losses were largely concentrated among J+ and SI1+ goods in 1.50-cts to 2.99-cts. Among 1.00-cts to 1.50-cts there were losses in G+ and VS2+. Many prices increased in 4.00-cts to 4.99-cts, especially among G+ colors, and, to a lesser extent, in 5.00-cts to 5.99-cts. Little movement in goods under 1.50-cts.

Fancies

Gains and losses were more evenly balanced. There were increases and some losses  in 1.25-cts to 4.99-cts, but significant losses in 5.00-cts to 5.99-cts. Little activity in goods under 1.25-cts, but some losses were noted in 0.70-cts to 0.89-cts stones.
