Jacob & Co Launches $139,000 Diamond Headphones

(IDEX Online) - Jacob & Co, the US-based ultra-luxury watch and jewelry brand, has teamed up with German electronics company Loewe to produce limited-edition, sapphire or diamond-encrusted headphones.

The Noir Rainbow features 15.97 carats of multicolor sapphires set in 14K rose gold and the Ice Diamond has 456 brilliant-cut white diamonds totaling 12.47 carats in a 14K white gold frame.

The basic headphones, Loewe Air One, without the Jacob & Co treatment, cost around $1,400. The enhanced sapphire version costs $116,000 and the diamond version are priced at $139,000. Only five pairs of each are available.

The collaboration was described by the CEOs of both companies as redefining luxury wearables, "shaping experiences that are not only luxurious but also seamlessly connected to modern lifestyles".

It is the first time Jacob & Co has joined forces with a tech company. The Loewe x Jacob & Co headphones were unveiled on the Loewe yacht in Monaco at the end of August.
