The crowning moment was extra special for the winner since the tiara, made by cultured pearls manufacturer Mikimoto, features 120 pearls and 800 round-cut diamonds weighing a total of 18 carats.
The tiara for Miss Universe, which this year celebrates its 54th anniversary, is reportedly worth more than 10 million baht ($250,000).
The beauty pageant tiara is part of a display of 11 unique jewelry pieces from Mikimoto's premium limited-edition collection. Each piece has its own history, and only 10 copies of each have been produced.
