Elton John Says 'I Do' with Diamonds and Platinum

When Elton John married long-time partner David Furnish in a December civil ceremony, the couple swapped diamond and platinum bands, designed by Chopard co-president, and close friend, Caroline Gruosi-Scheufele. The couple's names are engraved, in diamonds, on the inside of the £55,000 ($97,000) rings.

The couple also wore platinum brooches featuring three diamond solitaires. John's ensemble was finished by a two carat diamond earring. 

The singer has had a long relationship with Chopard. For the seventh annual white tie and tiara ball, jointly hosted by John and Chopard, Gruosi-Scheufele, Co-President of Chopard had a large yellow gold and diamond cross, with a 31 carat yellow diamond created for him.

The ceremony took place at Windsor's Guildhall, where Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles married in April last year.
