Damas and Deepu Establish Wholesale Division in Dubai's Gold Souk

Two of the major players in Dubai's jewelry trade –Damas Jewellery LLC and Deepu Jewellers LLC, have set up a new jewelry wholesale division in Dubai's Gold Souk.

"The new unit will benefit existing retailers, support the local industry and cater to a wider customer base with quality jewelry at reasonable prices, "said Tawhid Abdullah, managing director, Damas. The division is expected to begin operations in September.

"The new wholesale division will deal predominantly in 21 karat and 22 karat gold jewelry and also imported jewelry from India, Turkey, Pakistan, Italy, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and Korea, "said Kishore Dhakan, managing director, Deepu Jewellers.

"Our target for the first year is 27,000 kg of gold jewelry," said Abdullah.
