Eira Thomas Joins Board of Lucara Diamond

Eira Thomas, executive chairwoman of Stornoway Diamond Corporation, has joined the board of directors of Lucara Diamond Corp. Lucara, an African focused diamond exploration company recently announced high valuations at its Mothae project in Lesotho.

Thomas served as a geologist with Aber Resources Ltd. (now Harry Winston Diamond Corporation) from 1992 to 1997, leading the field exploration team that discovered the Diavik Diamond Project pipes in the Northwest Territories in 1994.

The valuation results of Lucara’s Mothae bulk sample valued the goods at a high $437 per carat.
