DDC Elects Basant Johari as Exchange Vice President

Basant Johari was elected as New York Diamond Dealers Club (DDC) vice president and chairman of the Club’s Board of Arbitrators, the DDC announced on Tuesday.
DDC President Moshe Mosbacher noted that Johari has had a uniquely distinguished career in the diamond industry for well over 20 years. “His expertise, experience and efficiency will play a critical role in projecting the DDC’s image and leadership role throughout the industry.”
Johari served as chairman of the board of the DDC, president of the Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association and co-chairman of the Diamond Industry Steering Committee. He has also served on the board of the Jewelers Fund for Children and as secretary of the Association of Indians in America.
