De Beers Singapore Opening is Show of Force

(IDEX Online News) - Celebrating their first flagship store in Singapore, De Beers invited 200 of Singapore’s elite to the Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands to indulge in a night of sparkle, unveiling the Talisman Wonder.

The first piece of the new Swan Lake High Jewellery collection, the Taliman Wonder was also revealed. The piece features 691 rough and polished stones, including a 17-carat rough diamond.

Guests at the opening also glimpsed the De Beers Pear Collar on actress and singer-songwriter, Karen Mok. The collar, set with 678 matching pear shaped diamonds totaling over 122 carats, was accompanied by the Cocktail Fizz earrings and a 5-line ring of woven diamonds.

De Beers also featured the Princess Lea Collection – a collection of fancy colored diamonds with its inspiration coming from the glistening galaxies above.

The centerpiece of the collection is the Princess Lea necklace, a one-of-a-kind creation featuring over 315 D color, IF and VVS clarity diamonds, and including a 8.5-carat D / IF pear shaped diamond. 

Totaling almost 90 carats, this $3 million necklace was hand-crafted at a Parisian workshop and took over 1,200 hours to create.
