Gem Raises Letšeng Per Carat Estimate by 5% to $2,839

(IDEX Online News) – Gem Diamonds has increased the Letšeng resource base by 10 percent and its per carat estimate by 5 percent to $2,839 p/c. The updates are part a revised resource and reserve statement released Wednesday.

Gem said the increased resource base, measured in carats, is due to higher resource grade estimates.

Its total resource base in carats has been maintained at about 29 million carats annually.

The Ellendale resource base, known for its yellow diamonds (left) has been reduced by 15 percent to 3.98 million carats and the overall Ellendale revenue estimate has increased by 16 percent.

The Ghaghoo resource base remains unchanged at 20.53 million carats, currently estimated at $259 p/c, a 16 percent increase.
