The device will be available for all IDE members to use in the IDE's technology wing in the trading hall.
The new Mettler-Toledo device weighs to four decimal places past the tenth point, thus providing an extremely accurate weight reading that helps diamantaires achieve financial benefits.
Mettler-Toledo's Israel representative, Lior Streng, owner of Lior Gemology Tools, and Mettler-Toledo representatives, including jewelry market manager Urs Wolfensberger, made the presentation to senior IDE members and management.
Streng said, “The high level of accuracy of the machine guarantees the highest quality and reliability. We are proud and happy to donate this weighing machine to the bourse.”
The new machine joins other equipment donated to the bourse's technology wing provided free to IDE members.
Mettler-Toledo is a leading global supplier of precision instruments and the world’s largest manufacturer and marketer of weighing instruments for use in laboratory, industrial and food retailing applications.
