Rosy Blue NV Reserves Right To Legal Action After False Reports About Dilip Mehta

(IDEX Online News) – Rosy Blue NV of Antwerp has released a follow-up statement saying the "entire management and staff of are deeply shocked by the reckless manner in which a number of erroneous reports have severely damaged the company’s reputation" following reports last week that the firm's CEO had supposedly been arrested in Dubai last week in order to extradite him to Belgium.
"These reports, which appeared on July 10 in a handful of Belgian newspapers, were published without any consultation or contact with the company.
"These reports not only violated the personal privacy of Dilip Mehta, founder of Rosy Blue NV, and his family but has worldwide repercussions on relations between the company and government authorities, bankers, customers and suppliers.
"Rosy Blue NV has had an active presence in Antwerp since 1973. As a result of hard work, innovative entrepreneurship and creativity, the company has since grown from a modest, one-man business to a leading company in the Antwerp diamond industry. Throughout all its activities, the company has always strived to fulfill a pioneering role, not only in relation to the manufacturing and trading of diamonds but also with regards to corporate social responsibility.
"The founders/founding families have always gone to great lengths to uphold their social engagement and to share their success with the communities where they work and live with a special focus on the less-fortunate and underprivileged.
"Although this false media attack will not change the company’s commitment to its staff, the industry or society at large, the management of Rosy Blue NV nevertheless wishes to make clear that they will use all legal resources at their disposal against those who unjustly smear the company’s reputation.
"In the case at hand, the company therefore reserves its right to take further legal action," concluded the statement issued by Managing Director Amit Bhansali.
