Blue Nile to be Added to S&P SmallCap 600 Index

Online jeweler, Blue Nile, will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 index, though Standard & Poor's did not say when, only noting that it will take place after the close of trading “on a date to be announced.”

Blue Nile will replace Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon on the index.

Standard & Poor's said last week that Blue Nile will be added to the S&P SmallCap 600 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Internet Retail Sub-Industry index.
