Platinum Breaks $1,800/Oz Mark, Gold and Silver Also on the Rise

The price of platinum in the past two weeks has spiked more than 15 percent to an all-time high of $1,850 per ounce as of February 7, 7 am EST. On January 1, platinum stood at $1,528 per ounce.

 

Gold and silver prices have also been on the rise, although not as steep. In the last 30 days gold has risen 5.58 percent from $860 per ounce to $908.

 

Silver has moved up to $16.60 per ounce from $15.40 on January 1, a 7.8 percent rise.
