Harry Winston Announces New CEO

Frederic de Narp has been named the new President and Chief Executive Officer of Harry Winston, Inc., according to an announcement made by the diamond corporation on Friday.

Narp will succeed Tom O'Neill on January 4. During his tenure, O’Neill led Harry Winston’s transition from a family owned business to a global brand with 19 retail stores worldwide, the release stated.

Narp joins Harry Winston after recently leaving his post as the president and CEO of Cartier North America.

"We are delighted that Frederic will be joining Harry Winston, Inc. He has an innate ability for understanding the luxury consumer's needs in the United States and globally,” said Robert Gannicott, chairman and CEO of parent company Harry Winston Diamond Corporation.

Harry Winston Diamond Corporation reported a $24.5 million net loss in the second quarter ended July 31. Third quarter fiscal results will be released this upcoming Wednesday, December 9.
