Birks & Mayors Issues “No Comment” on Unusual Share Activity

On Wednesday, trade in the share jumped into the thousands from the usual volume of a few hundreds. In response, The NYSE Amex has contacted the company in accordance with its usual practice, requesting it to issue a public statement indicating whether there are any corporate developments that might explain the unusual activity.

After saying that it cannot explain the sudden heavy Birks & Mayors added that it is the company's policy not to comment on unusual market activity or rumors.
