Israel Net Polished Diamond Exports $594 M in October

- Israel’s gross polished diamond exports in October totaled $1.2 billion and its net exports $593.9 million, according to data released by the Central Bureau of Statistics. Polished diamond imports in the month were therefore $601.2 million.

 

Israel, an important polished diamond trading center, is increasing its exports in the post recession period as global demand for diamonds is increasing.

 

Gross exports increased 20.5 percent from last year’s $992.3 million while net exports increased 23.9 percent year-over-year. Polished diamond imports increased 51.1 percent, based on the data released by the Bureau.

 

Israel’s net polished exports in the first ten months of 2010 reached $429 billion.
