GSI Launches ‘Joy Box’ Campaign

August 25, 14 by IDEX Online Staff Reporter

(IDEX Online News) – Gemological Science International (GSI) recently launched a charitable campaign to donate much-needed items to underprivileged children in Mumbai. The “Joy Box” campaign is a social initiative initiated by the Each One Each One (EOTO), a charitable foundation.

GSI has made its first delivery of the school supplies and children clothes, which were made up of contributions from a range of businesses in the diamond and jewelry industry, including Hari Krishna Diamonds, Moksh Jewellers, Fine Creations, Phalak Impex, Steck Beck and Fashion Exim.

“It gives me an immense pleasure to be a part of this campaign initiated by GSI staff,” said Mark Gershburg, CEO of GSI. “I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the contributors from gems and jewelry industry and to GSI employees specifically for playing a key role in this endeavor.”

“The children were overjoyed to see the amount of items contributed which consisted of clothes, umbrellas, stationary items and so on,” said Hema Raney, CEO of Each One Teach One. “The happiness in their heart was reflected on their faces, through a Smile. EOTO appreciates support of the gems and jewelry industry, and especially GSI, which made a big difference in the lives of the children.”

GSI’s “Joy Boxes” are located throughout the BDB.
