More Than 120 Israeli Firms To Exhibit At HK Sept Jewellery & Gem Fair

August 28, 14 by Albert Robinson

(IDEX Online)
– More than 120 Israeli diamond companies will exhibit at the September 15-21 Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair.

Some 96 companies will be in the Israeli diamond pavilion, while another 30 companies will be participating in other areas of the show, the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI) said. Compared with the 2013 show, there are 10 more Israeli companies taking part.

“The September Hong Kong Jewellery & Gem Fair is considered to be one of the most important shows in the world and definitely one of the largest," said IDI Chief Marketing Officer Nissim Palomo.

"Every show in Hong Kong deserves a high-level of expectation, and certainly a show of this stature warrants great expectations from the Israeli diamond sector which will be out in full force to strengthen its footing in the Asian market. We are very optimistic about this show."

The Find Your Diamond application will be available in the Israeli diamond pavilion to help match diamond buyers with available goods. Refreshments and an area to relax in will also be on offer at the pavilion.

This year’s show will be held in two locations, covering 135,000 square meters of exhibition space at the AsiaWorld-Expo and the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

More than 50,000 people visited the 2013 edition of the show, according to the show organizers. Almost one-third of the visitors came from Hong Kong (31%) while 28% were from China.
