Birks & Mayors to Exclusively Distribute Botswana Diamonds in N. America

Luxury jeweler Birks & Mayors announced Monday that it has entered into a partnership to exclusively distribute Botswana Diamonds in North America. The diamonds are sourced through DTC Botswana and manufactured at Diamond Manufacturing Botswana’s (DMB) facility in the southern African country.

Birks & Mayors commented that this “controlled and monitored channel allows Birks diamonds from Botswana to tell a rational story about both ethical accountability and the benefits to the nation of Botswana.”

The jewelry retailer’s diamond selection also includes Birks Canadian Diamonds and Amorique (R) Diamonds, as well as the company’s branded Birks ideal cut, excellent cut and premier cut diamonds.

Botswana Diamonds will be officially launched by Birks & Mayors in fall 2008 at its Birks flagship stores in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver and at select Mayors locations in South Florida and Atlanta, Georgia.
