SA Miner Kebble Murdered

South African miner Brett Kebble, head of the JCI Group and Randgold & Exploration, was shot in his car Tuesday night. South African Police confirmed that a murder investigation has been opened.

Kebble was considered a controversial member of the mining community and recently resigned his posts as CEO of the three companies he headed.

JCI owns the Letseng diamond mine in Lesotho Randgold has diamond operations in Angola and recently competed in a biding war with AngloGold over Ashanti.

Kebble was shot five times in his Mercedes 600 SLK at around 9:30pm at secluded area while on his way to a meeting.
