Sarah Ferguson Moissanite Jewelry Line Launched

We tend to connect royalty with expensive, and desirable, diamond jewelry.  It was just that association that led K&G Creations to enlist Britain's Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, as the name behind a line of moissanite set jewelry.

On Friday, Queen Elizabeth's former daughter-in-law launched a line of rings, necklaces, earrings, and, bracelets set with moissanite – a lab created gem that looks similar to diamonds – in a bid to capture a wider audience whose pockets may not be quite as deep as those of European royalty.

The marketing idea of reasonably priced jewelry is reinforced by the slogan “Inspired by a duchess, yet affordable enough for every woman.”  Items from the collection reportedly start at about $400 for a pair of earrings

The line will be sold in the U.S. during the first stage of the launch, and later in Australia and Thailand.

A portion of proceeds from the “Sarah Ferguson for K&G Creations” will be donated to the Sarah Ferguson Foundation, which the duchess established to benefit children living in poverty.
